2009 Weekend League Statistics

It rained almost every day!

The first tournament of the season, was held May long weekend.
It snowed.
The campers woke up to 3 inches of snow on their tents.
Mother nature decided to play a trick on the campers at
Spirit Fire by sending them one last kiss from winter.
We stumbled out of our tents very stiffly, as coffee was quickly made.
The snow lasted only a couple hours after sunrise, and the day slowly warmed up.By midday, it had all melted.

The opening tourney this year was a mixer, where, the teams were chosen by luck of the draw. Each player put their name into a hat, and the two person teams decided as such.

Three out of four tournaments this year, were canceled due to rain!

The park was under construction all season long! There was more fighting this year, than any other, however, most of it was team training, and play testing.

The number of league kills is reflective of fickle weather,
and growing pains in the park.
Any issues will be resolved
by start up, spring 2010.

* One shot kill - Outnumbered, General Church strategically “kitten-crawled” to within 20 feet from the defended fort, and fired his first shot of the game, taking out Khan Zzorhn

** Zzorhn the match by “FLAG CAPTURE!!” Zz inched his way into a very vulnerable position in the “Den”. He then ran upstairs to grab the flag pole and win the game!

There were many interesting matches, due to the variants we are now trying. With two forts now, and a third one being designed, we are allowing more scenarios for fighting.
The fights were very competitive.

Spirit Fire - Paintball Night Mission

On July 21st, 2007, Spirit Fire Theme Park, hosted a night paintball tournament.

The regular teams were divided up into two squads. One led by Admiral Oakley, the other by General Dunn.

The two squads chose their fort to defend. General Dunn and his troops were assigned to protect the Rock Garden Fortress, while Admiral Oakley and his fighters defended the Mountain Poker-Bush Fortress.

The moonlight provided the only source of illumination, as the two groups squared off in a game of capture-the-flag.

Due to the poor lighting, and the "heat of the moment", there was two kills due to freindly fire; and the guns, although turned down for a night tournament, still caused serious wounds, since the fighting was extremely close range. Khan Carlson had the barrel of Khan Keast driven into his chest as he pulled the trigger. Many of the fighters ended up breaking skin and tearing clothing due to the close contact.

In the end, General Dunn's squad won. The revelry continued well into the wee hours.

Crazy Horse Coup d’état

In an unfortunate series of events, Military unit Crazy Horse, led by General Everett V. Wicklund; has been dissolved. The General is missing in action, and has not been heard of or seen in over a month.

Major-General Hammer Oakley, backed by the remainder of the unit, has formally disbanded the unit Crazy Horse. The team will no longer be a military unit, as the remainder of the team have chosen to convert to a Naval SEAL unit.

The training and expertise provided by the leading members of the new SEAL unit, have proven themselves on the battlefield many times.

The unit has classified themselves, BLACK FALCON, for their operative name.

Admiral T.J. Hammer Oakley is willing to train new recruits, and in time, the Navy unit’s numbers will swell again.

Sargeant Spectrum La Croix, the newest member of Crazy Horse. He prefers to hunt his opponents using stealth and camouflage. His old West draw is lightning fast, and his competative nature, are sure to make him a major contendor for team Crazy Horse this year.

2006 - Year in Review

The foundation has been laid. Spirit Fire Theme Park had an impressive first year, with five teams by the end of the season, and a great start on building the course.

Teams Crazy Horse, Brea'Gan Dearth, Broken Vulture, Pheonix Fire, and the mercenaries of General Dunn's elite platoon; battled every week (weather permitting) for a grand total of ninety-seven (97) league games.

PF TAKES SEASON!!

The statistics for the entire summer season are in!

After hours of work, and play testing the newest editions to Spirit Fire's paintball course, the members found time to play a "few" league games.

With only four teams this year, (the park is still in the development stages), The fight for the dominate team was borderline "personal".

Once the scores had been tallied, however, one team rose above the rest. Team Pheonix Fire, comprised of Don "Targ" Patterson, and Zzorhn "Joe" Carlson, took the lead with 33 team wins for the summer.

Targ is their sniper, who prides himself on his stealth, and "eagle-eye" shooting skills. Zzorhn is a 4 year veteran who enjoys a closer fight than his partner, and is known to giggle when the paintballs are whizzing past him during combat. Both fighters are skilled at fighting in almost any terrain, but it's their tactics during battle that make the difference.

Really looking forward to next year? You bet!

On the weekend, July 30th, an incident occurred, in which, members of Mercenary unit Breagan De'Arth took another member's bank card. Using the card, they stole several hundreds of dollars, and then lied when confronted about the issue.

We at Spirit Fire believe in fair-play, both on and off the field. I will not play with someone who cheats. I will not associate with thieves.

It is therefore, that team Breagan De'Arth is suspended from game play, and all members are banned from the premises of Spirit Fire theme park.

I have to admit..... I really wish we coul have been recording all of our games since we started! This is the fourth year we have been playing at Spirit Fire, and no one has been keeping track of anything ... until now.

This is it! The very first log entry, in the Spirit Fire Theme Park! I am so psyched about taking our gaming online! Not to mention the addition of our theme park artist, Eric! The war-zone has never looked so good!
